Aurélien Portuese

Présentation

Aurélien Portuese est maître de conférences en droit à l’Université St Mary’s de Twickenham, Londres. Il y dirige le programme pour le LL.M. en droit européen des affaires (en partenariat avec l’Université catholique de Paris) ainsi que le programme pour le LL.M. en droit international des affaires.

Il enseigne aussi le droit européen de la concurrence au Global Antitrust Institute de l’Antonin Scalia Law School de l’Université Georges Mason. Il est également chercheur affilié à l’International Center for Law & Economics.

Ses recherches portent sur l’étude interdisciplinaire du droit et de l’économie (également appelée analyse économique du droit). Plus particulièrement, il s’intéresse au droit et à l’économie de la concurrence/antitrust appliqués aux marchés numériques et autres entreprises complexes basées sur des algorithmes.

Il travaille actuellement sur la façon de fournir un cadre réglementaire optimal pour les entreprises fondées sur des algorithmes et chargées de données qui opèrent sur des plateformes numériques, afin que la concurrence et l’innovation puissent être maximisées au profit de la société.

Son parcours académique est pluridisciplinaire. Aurélien Portuese est en effet docteur en droit de l’Université de Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Sorbonne) et titulaire d’une double maîtrise en économie politique européenne de la London School of Economics et de Sciences Po Paris, ainsi que d’un LL.M. en droit et économie des universités de Bologne (Italie), de Gand (Belgique) et de Hambourg (Allemagne). Enfin, il est titulaire d’une Maîtrise en droit européen de l’Université d’Aix-Marseille.
